Where can I find the Capstone Bank Mobile Banking App?

  • For iPhones go to iTunes App Store and search for "Capstone Bank AL"

  • For Android phones go to the Google Play App Store and search for "Capstone Bank AL"


Is my personal information safe with Mobile Banking?

  • Yes. Your personal information is safe with us.

  • We use advanced encryption and monitoring technology.

  • We secure your accounts with your unique Personal ID and password.

  • We never request personal information through email.

  • And we never store your personal banking information on your phone.


What happens if my device is lost or stolen?

  • Follow all of the steps recommended by your service provider for a lost or stolen device.

  • Login to your online banking account using a PC and change your password.


What is Mobile Check Deposit?

  • Mobile Check Deposit is available through the Capstone Bank Mobile app.

  • Make a deposit from your iPhone, iPad or Android smartphone by taking a picture of your check.

  • To enroll select the Deposit Tab within the mobile banking app.


How do I use Mobile Check Deposit?

  • Login to your account using the Capstone Mobile Banking app.

  • Select the Deposit tab (first time users will be asked to enroll) then select Deposit Check.

  • Select an account, enter the amount of your deposit and memo.

  • Make sure the front of your check is clearly visible, select "Front of Check" to snap a picture of your check.

  • Ensure the back of your check is visible and that it has been signed, select "Back of Check" to snap an image of the reverse side of the check.

  • Select "Submit" to submit your deposit for approval.

  • You will receive a text to let you know if the deposit has been Accepted or Rejected. 


Why am I being told the picture of my check has "Poor Image Quality"?

  • The image recognition software was unable to read the necessary check information.

  • There could be a weak wireless Internet connection.

  • The picture, including your signature, might be blurry, not clear.

  • All four corners of the check must be showing.

  • The lighting may not be strong enough to see the check details.

  • Your check is placed on a dark background.

  • The picture needs to be taken directly above the check.


Which accounts can I use to make deposits?

  • All eligible deposit accounts are available for Mobile Check Deposit.

  • The account you enroll with will be added automatically.

  • Additional accounts can be added by contacting your local branch or by sending a secure message to us via online banking.

  • Any account that has no Returned Deposited Items or overdrafts within sixty days is eligible.

  • Accounts undergoing fraud investigations may be removed from Mobile Check Deposit.


Can I make as many deposits each day as I would like?

  • No, upon enrollment you will be given daily item limits.


Is Mobile Check Deposit available on Mobile Web and/or the Mobile app?

  • Mobile Check Deposit is available through the Mobile app only, not through Capstone Bank Mobile Web.


Which smart phones or devices work with Mobile Check Deposit?

  • iPad models 3 and above (Mobile Check Deposit requires a camera to function correctly).

  • Android versions 2.2 and above.

  • Blackberry® and Windows® smartphones do not currently support Mobile Check Deposit.


What do I do if Mobile Check Deposit crashes?

  • Mobile Check Deposit may crash due to low memory.

  • Close all applications, try again.

  • Clear cache, try again.

  • Restart the device.

  • Make sure you have updated your Mobile app to the latest version.


Can I use Mobile Banking outside the U.S.?

  • Yes, as long as your mobile carrier offers Internet service in the country you are visiting.

  • The ability to deposit checks using Mobile Check Deposit isn't available outside the United States.

  • All additional roaming, access and text charges from your carrier will apply.

  • Foriegn or international checks cannot be deposited through Mobile Check Deposit.
